Runway Review: Faraz Manan

One of the most sought after names in Pakistan for Couture, Bridal wear, Luxury Pret&Lawn Faraz Manan  presented his Lyallpur Collection in Collaboration with Ather Shahzad. Faraz Manan’s name is synonymous with swoop-back pleated twill, glamorized shirtwaist and bespoke curvaceous gowns. His sartorial creed and detailed craftsmanship is often neatly tucked into a sheer-body skimming layers or underneath the voluminous fads of thick, tapered silhouettes. The gorgeous jewellery was by Shazia Deen of Neemar.

Faraz Manan payed homage to 'Layallpur' now known as Faisalabad. 'The city has been the birthplace of furniture, fabric, food and most importantly a deep rooted structure of family love/life' said Faraz.
The collection boasts fusion by amalgamating high waisted lehngas and cholis, along with saris that represent the hindu/sikh influence in Lyallpur along with some experimental western silhouettes very apt for the Pakistani woman still. Not one to shy away from the technique of embellishment, this collection has certainly been his best. The detailing on these garments in blinding.
Faraz's presentation started off with garments toiling with the traditional bridal colours such as peach,  pink and ivory and transitioned into the modern take on formal trousseau nowadays where silver and gold in varying hues made an appearance. The show was sealed with a strong presence of 'blush pink' which Faraz says is his colour statement of the season!

The show was a huge success, We loved every piece!
