Runway Review: Shehla Chatoor at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013

Shehla Chatoor has always been a force to reckon with, and the force had come down to Lahore to create waves of fashion! Loved the collection with consisted of beautiful Romanesque prints taking me back to the Chateau De Versailles in France. The designer had primarily
used silks coupled with gold chains, metallic mesh, streaming tassels and lattice-like leather cut-
work embellishments. The collection featured fluid and sinuous togas, cocktail
dresses and wraps that draped the body. To give life to the structural form,
Shehla had printed her own signature fabric with a confluence of colour using elaborate cameo
motifs and swirling arabesques. Each print had been hand-made in-house.
Shehla's forte always includes accessories such as shoes, bags and jewels which were strong as always. The underlying nudes throughout the collection were decked up in oranges, greens and blues. Fellow designer Sadaf Malattere made for a chic show stopper. Lots of gold, gorgeous exotic clutches and gladiators that went high and low.
