Runway Review: Sania Maskatiya at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week

Sania Maskatiya at the PSFW was a gorgeous mish mash of everything good and happy. ‘Ahgaaz’ Resort 2013
collection, inspired by the craft and motifs of 19th century Persian, Middle Eastern, Hispanic and
Italian Renaissance ceramics and tiles. Blending powerful images of dragons, serpents and birds
with bold geometrics and floral’s into the warmth of rich hues and calm pastels, entering a garden of
dreams and perilous new beginnings.
Her handle on print is stronger than ever, with each look boasting great proportion in terms of color and a great variety in terms on wearable separates. The color palette saw no boundary and the prints were very strong. The best thing to me was the ability to mix and match and create various looks which I did for the Day II at the PSFW. Musician Kiran Chaudhry walked the ramp as Sania Maskatiya’s show stopper.
