Elan: Runway Review, PFDC Loreal Bridal Fashion Week.

Started the Bridal Week and we all geared up for 'run of the mill' outfits, one after the other something that we had seen before. We asked ourselves 'is it possible to innovate' a Shaadi ka Joda?
Then came our answer. Elan on the third day, like a breath of fresh air. The collection had facets of ornate motifs, turkish/ottoman influences, beautiful scallop edges, 'kiran' ( a gold fringe ) from back in the day and apt textures ranging from a stern statement brocade to delicate laces and net, all tied together in a wave of pure magic. A collection called 'Gold Dust' and rightfully so!
Left: My favorite piece was undoubtedly the jacket laden with luscious pearls, gorgeous stones falling off the sleeves and an on trend cropped pant in brocade. Right: Khadijah gave us all lengths, long jackets and shorter hemlines like this beautiful contrast creation.

Left: A stunning bridal with an 'Angrakha' style shirt. Right: A display of silver 'kiran' reminiscent of old world glamour, Love the contrast of lilac and hot pink.

Left: The lace sari encrusted with pearls and stones. Right: The Princess bridal, get married again people!
