As discussed many a times before a designer's dream has always been fusion. Misha Lakhani is one such designer however she hasn't fallen prey to making a statement more than making the 'right' statement. The aesthetic is very vintage and extremely clean. It almost feels like you're watching a vintage movie in sepia. What strikes me most is the focus in a single outfit, there is either the silhouette taking your breath away or the embellishment which makes perfect sense when you know she has studied from Central Saint Martins and an intern from the prestigious house of Bunto.
All in all she excites me, her clothes, her aesthetic. Too early to to be bowled over but I am waiting to see what she puts up next.
Left: A high paper bag waisted trouser and a nude top make for a beautiful canvas to a heavily embellished jacket. Right: Misha Lakhani wearing her own along with a Bottega Knot Clutch. (image: aamna isani )
Loving the whites on Freiha and a guest. Rukayia sports a gorgeous two tone bottega tote.
Left: Nida Azwer is a gorgeous saree and a well matched Bottega knot, Centre: Bunto Kazmi and guest with some gorgeous arm candy, Left: Guests at the event do minimal chic so well with some Tory burch footwear.
... and sticking to our tradition we could not do without some drool worthy bag spotting!
